Calendula is a long-standing favorite among herbalist due to its skin healing properties. We grow and harvest the resinous petals and infuse them in rich olive oil to make this nourishing soap. Elderberries, with their showy spring blossoms and deep purple fall fruit, add a hint of exfoliation and mild astringent properties to these bars. The berries are complimented by essential oils of grapefruit with a hint of lemongrass. Description
All of our soaps are made in small batches using the traditional cold process method. We use fresh milk from our Animal Welfare Approved herd of dairy goats to make the soap right at the farm. The fats in the milk add moisturizing properties to the soap, and the natural sugars in the milk give the lather an extra boost.
Our soaps contain only pure essential oils for fragrance and natural clay and botanical sources for colorants. No artificial perfumes or dyes. We do not use palm oil (a hardening agent) due to ethical and environmental concerns. Additionally, our products are made using electricity from solar power. All of these things make for a natural, moisturizing soap that is gentle on your skin and the environment.
Because this is a handmade product, there may be slight variations in color or size from bar to bar and batch to batch. Minimum bar weight- 4.5 oz.
To prolong the life of your soap and prevent it from becoming soft, we recommend keeping your soap on a draining dish and away from direct streams of water between uses.
