Rosemary Birch

$6.00

Birch tar soothes a variety of skin conditions that cause flaky, itchy, inflamed skin.  In addition to comforting irritated skin, we think the real reason this is a top seller is because people love how it smells.  The birch tar essential oil adds a smoky note to the fresh, woodsy blend of rosemary, fir, and orange.  For this bar, we use tallow that is processed start to finish right on the farm.  Aside from liking the fact that it is a very, very local product, we also like the how the tallow adds to the firmness of the bar.  That allows us to add castor oil which really boosts the lather. In addition to being a great general body bar, this soap also works well as a shampoo bar and shave bar. Ingredients: Creekside Farm goat tallow, saponified coconut, olive and castor oils, goat milk, essential oils, activated charcoal

Description

All of our soaps are made in small batches using the traditional cold process method. We use fresh milk from our Animal Welfare Approved herd of dairy goats to make the soap right at the farm.  The fats in the milk add moisturizing properties to the soap, and the natural sugars in the milk give the lather an extra boost.

Our soaps contain only pure essential oils for fragrance and natural clay and botanical sources for colorants. No artificial perfumes or dyes.  We do not use palm oil (a hardening agent) due to ethical and environmental concerns.  Additionally, our products are made using electricity from solar power.  All of these things make for a natural, moisturizing soap that is gentle on your skin and the environment.

Because this is a handmade product, there may be slight variations in color or size from bar to bar and batch to batch.  Minimum bar weight- 4.5 oz.

To prolong the life of your soap and prevent it from becoming soft, we recommend keeping your soap on a draining dish and away from direct streams of water between uses.
