The goal of this workshop is to introduce the basic ingredients, steps, and equipment needed to make cold process goat milk soap at home.  Each person will make their own batch of 6 soaps.  This session will prepare participants for future workshops involving colorants, botanicals and more.

Limited to 8 people.  Supplies and equipment will be provided.

Saturday May 13th at the Athens West State Park Shelter House- Athens, OH.  You can find it on Google Maps by searching “Athens West State Park” or by using this link and sending to your phone. This is a wheelchair accessible site.

Soap made during the workshop will take 24-48 hours to set up which means you will not be able to take it home with you at the end of the session.  It will be available for pick up at the Athens Farmers Market May 20th.  Other dates available upon request.  Alternatively, it can be mailed directly to you for $10 to cover the cost of shipping.

For safety purposes, all participants must wear closed toed shoes, pants, a long sleeve shirt, eye protection and gloves while working with the soap making ingredients.  Eye protection and gloves will be provided.  Please notify us if you will need eye protection that fits over glasses.

Participants must be 14 years or older.  Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.
